Best Backyard Contest: We have a winner!

It's official, we have a winner of our first annual Best Backyard Facebook contest. Congratulations to Menifee residents Christine and JP who finished the contest with a grand total of 407 votes for their backyard. The win is well deserved as they rallied significant support from friends and family who agreed their lemon tree, rosemary, covered patio and great riverbed feature were worthy of the top spot. 

We must also give a big shout out and congratulations to Jennifer who came in 2nd place with another large total of 283 votes. Jennifer posted photos of their wonderful "Edible Backyard," where almost all of the plants are edible with the exception of some bamboo. They've also included a fun play area, birdbath, grassy null and garden boxes.  

The rest of the competition was stellar too, with lots of creative backyard details from all of our entries. Menifee neighbor Vanessa shared photos of their super-creative organic garden with raised wooden garden beds and an adorable pink bicycle with basket displayed on display in the center. Lastly, Harry posted his tremendous backyard complete with large rock and mulch planting beds, colorful flowers and trees, terracotta pots, a concrete walkway and patio and plenty of lush green grass.
